Gyros for the HK450 Helicopter
I use the XMHobbies Gyro which is 100% identical to the DXtreme GY401B which is cheaper but is called a Mystery Gyro.

Why?
It’s the best low priced gyro available on the market, non tail drifting, perfectly suited for a 450 size rc helicopter.
XMHobbies is rather expensive and I believe this gyro is borderline being too expensive for the HK450 where you may want to buy a main stream brand, but if their prices dont change then this is just OK as far as cost is concerned.
Buying from DealExtreme is the exact same Gyro except it’s called a Mystery. No Mystery when you open it up and compare the two. Even the manual has the same typos in it. I recommend getting them from DealExtreme but they are not always in stock but they are cheap!
In doing my research I found that this gyro is one of the most stable gyro’s available fin the sub $60 price range, however I must mention that although it is sold as new, you will receive it in a plastic bag from XMHobbies or Lipo Blister Pack from DealExtreme, and the quality control for scratches is a little to be desired although lately they have been perfect.
Some have looked like refurbished units, None the less the gyros are flawless in every other aspect. It’s just the cosmetic side of things that I wasnt happy with and some call me an extremist. I have 3 of these for my helicopters, I have even tried the Assan listed below with an analogue servo but found it wasnt fast enough for me.
Many have tried and with good success the folowing
Telebe GR302-AD Great Gyro, many highly recommend it, I havent tried it, many complain of tail drift.
Assan GA-410 Although this wont run a digital servo but it’s stable probably better suited for a 300 size heli or smaller.
